As the "choice of human beings" lies outside the domain of crisp set analysis,my idea was to fuzzify the crawler algorithm...sounds wierd...but yes, essentially combining various criteria (fuzzily)...and then use fuzzy decision making to sort the frontier to make the best appear first to the crawler...
Some fuzzy arithmetic tools-
1. Euclidian distance between the query and the page
2.Fuzzy decision making - (single goal,single decision maker,many restrictions)
3.Mamdani implications
And yes,the alpha cuts are a better option to flush the memory time to time and retain the best ones rather than rely on probability...
Certainity...that's what makes fuzzy logic more powerful than probability...
Probability - used when math is too complicated to study the nature of a system
Fuzzy Arithmetic - used when crisp math is too insufficient to study a system
